IRELAND
Annaharvey Farm
Overview
Annaharvey is a fantastic personal yet professional family run operation where guests return year after year. This is simply a horsey slice of heaven where you stay onsite in a lovely homely house/lodge on this 400-acre farm and woodland complete with a stable of great Irish horses and over 200 cross country jumps to cater for all levels of jumping, a gallop as well as both indoor and outdoor large sand arenas. These are some of the best equestrian facilities in Ireland. A real family affair with their own beef cattle and tillage growing (haylage, oats and barley).
Based in the heart of Ireland, Annaharvey is the perfect spot if you love jumping, want to gain experience and confidence or just do a lot of cross-country riding in the lovely green Irish countryside on good solid horses.
Sam and Aisling run the equestrain side of the farm; Sam is a qualified course builder and both he and Aisling regularly compete in Ireland bringing a wealth of experience and gravitas to this set up – they really do know their stuff! Annaharvey as well as offering riding holidays also hosts numerous hunter trials and Eventing Ireland competitions throughout the year and is well respected as one of Ireland’s best cross-country venues.
It’s a really homely and warm environment for anyone to visit whether that be on their own or with family and friends. Big group sizes can be accommodated, so for anyone thinking about getting their friends together to do something different for some-ones birthday, this is the perfect place, a few hours of exciting riding per day and either a quiet evening meal with a few drinks or a visit to the local pub for some good Irish craic or just hang out in the lodge in one of the lovely sitting areas where you can avail of the well-stocked honesty bar.
We also think this is the perfect place for anyone getting back into cross-country and jumping, if you perhaps were competitive as a teenager and are thinking of getting back into the sport, this is a great option to trial before you buy a new horse and set out your new path.
