SUMMARY OF THE TRIP top

Whether you are staying on a short break or the full week, expect an action packed, full on program with plenty of adventures on horseback. You will leave feeling exhilarated, inspired and in love with your horse as you build a trusting relationship and test each others boundaries. Horse activities will include horsemanship, mountain riding, a beach gallop, horseback archery and cross-country jumping, depending on the length of your trip. This is a ride suited to those looking for adventure and not the faint hearted!

Wilder Ways is based on Glen Kennan, a 100 acre farm situated on the Mull of Kintyre which is the southern part of Kintyre, a long thin peninsula in western Scotland, just 30 miles long and only 2 miles at its narrowest. Mull of Kintyre is truly stunning, immortalised in the Paul McCartney song and where he and Linda retreated to escape from it all with their kids. The farm is set amongst woodland and pasture, rich in wildflower and the perfect habitat for horses with herb rich grassland. plentiful water supply and natural shelter. it really is the most beautiful, remote and wild spot!

Your hosts, Cara and Nikki have been exploring on horseback for many years and Wilder Ways was born from their love of these adventures and a desire to bring you with them. They moved to Glen Kerran Farm in 2019 and strive for self sufficiency through their passion for the environment. Expect to see sheep, pigs and chickens around the place along with a thriving veggie garden!
