Experience LevelWhat are the chances when you start researching horse riding holidays in Romania, that you actually find one that is owned and run by a real life Count? That’s exactly what we found when we went looking for one… as this holiday in Romania is hosted by Count & Countess Kalnoky.
On this horse riding holiday in Romania, you will get to ride some really lovely horses, either locally-bred or Arabs from Countess Kalnoky’s own stables. The Transylvanian countryside is breathtaking and it really feels like you have stepped back in time. There is very little fencing, very few gates to open and shut, the roads are quiet and you can see daily country life at work, with farmers tending their crops and horses still pulling carts.
Throughout your horse riding holiday in Romania, you will get the privilege of staying at small, local guesthouses, where you are welcomed into very warmly and will sit down, to real home-cooked Romanian food – it’s a genuine and real experience that is very difficult to find anywhere else today.
You may also want to stay on a few days afterwards or prior to your ride and stay in Brasov, an interesting medieval town, with a bustling town square. It’s also worth a visit to Bram Castle if you have an interest in Dracula, which is close by.
Please email or call myself or Zara if you want more insight into this horse riding holiday in Romania as we’d love to make sure you it’s the right one for you.
