Quinto do Archino is a beautiful country farm, just under an hour from Lisbon, and it’s the perfect setting for a horse riding holiday in Portugal. It’s the home of Francisco and Maria Braganca, and where they breed and train Lusitano horses in the art of Classical Dressage.
It’s a small scale place, which means the tuition during your horse riding holiday in this part of Portugal is very personal, intense and passionate. Francisco lives and breathes dressage and we encourage real lovers of this discipline to visit and ride his exceptionally trained horses, which are mostly stallions.
It’s also the ideal place to take a non-riding husband who perhaps likes golf or is happy to chill while you ride. There are some fantastic courses close by, a lovely pool and grounds you can wander. You may also want to take a jaunt to the beach or have lunch out at a local fishing village like Nazare.
Please email or call myself or Zara if you want more insight into this Classical Dressage riding holiday in Portugal. We’d love to chat through everything and tell you more about Francisco’s stunning stallions.
