Experience LevelWe are in love with our horse riding holidays in France!
They have been very carefully selected to make sure they deliver some incredible and unique horse riding holiday experiences available in all of France.
Our first option for a horse riding holiday in France is our luxury farmhouse holiday, slap bang in the middle of the Camargue, right down in the south of the country. Owners Monsieur and Madame Bon raise bulls on their farm and breed the indigenous Camargue horses. Apart from the cordon bleu French style cooking and the stylish, upmarket rooms, you can ride out with the French cowboys, the ‘guardians’, and join in with one of their Camargue horses as they round up the bulls – not for the faint hearted!
We offer another horse riding holiday in France just north of Toulouse, in a fabulous place in the Aveyron valley. Here you can ride out for hours in every direction, through fields, forests, over rolling hills and even try out a small cross-country course. At the heart of this place are the horses and from day one, your host Derek’s quiet, calm manner with his animals is apparent. Together with Ann, they bring together a really and warm place to visit, which offers some really fast paced riding.
Moving further up close to Bergerac is Bourdil Blanc, a beautiful chateau in the Dordogne area where your host Jane creates a party house atmosphere for you to enjoy during your horse riding holiday in France. It sits in seven acres with a boating lake and apart from gorgeous rides through the meandering country side, there is wine tasting, tennis courts, a swimming pool and some free time to explore a local market and the surrounding Dordogne area.
Overall, France is a great destination for a horse riding holiday, as it is so easy to access from both the UK and Ireland and also offers so much besides hugely enjoyable experiences in the saddle. Consider the culture, the cuisine, and of course, the wine – and you’ll see why a horse riding holiday in France is the choice for so many people every year!
